The National Science Seminar was held at Visvesvaraya Industrial & Technological Museum on 8th October, 2010 on the topic “India & World Science: Are we there?”.The 35 students, each a winner from his/her State or Union Territory participated in the Seminar.
The Seminar was inaugurated by Prof. C N R Rao, FRS, National Research Professor & Honorary President, Jawaharlal Nehru Centre for Advanced Scientific Research, Bangalore. The function was presided over by Prof. Siraj Hasan, Director, Indian Institute of Astrophysics & Chairman,Executive Committee,VITM.
The valediction and prize distribution was on the same day evening.Prof. G. Padmanaban, Distinguished Biotechnologist & Chairman, Governing Body of National Council of Science Museums was the chief guest . Shri. Ashwani Kumar Datt, Chairman & Managing Director, Bharat Electronics Ltd., Bangalore presided over the valedictory function.
